2020

It All Began as a Favorite Food.

Every time I bought it, there was always something missing. Sometimes the crust was too thick, and sometimes the topping wasn’t creamy enough. From there, a question arose, “Why not try making it myself?” That was the starting point.

What began as a hobby turned into a learning experience, one step at a time. Countless experiments followed—some successful, some failures. But one thing was certain: each attempt made the cheesetart taste better.

As the results improved, another idea emerged: if I liked it, surely many others would too. With passion and a little courage, the first cheesetart was sold in 2020.

There was no store, no fancy brand, just baking from a small kitchen and promoting on social media. To my surprise, the demand came nonstop. What started as orders from friends soon attracted customers from outside. From one tray, it grew to dozens of trays a day.

2021

From Home Kitchen to a Real Business

A year passed, and cheesetarts were no longer just a hobby. Sales increased, customers grew, and the small home kitchen started to feel cramped. That’s when the big decision was made: the business needed to grow.

A small team was formed, the first employee was hired, and operations became more organized. Every day was filled with the scent of freshly baked cheesetarts from the oven, and every night was spent packing and delivering to customers.

2022

A Big Step – The First Physical Store

Running a business from home was comfortable, but in order to grow, more courage was needed. The decision was made: Serabites needed its own store.

Not just a place to sell cheesetarts, but a space where customers could come, choose for themselves, enjoy a tart fresh from the oven, and experience the brand firsthand.

Finding the right location, decorating the store, and building a larger kitchen—it all took time and effort. But in the end, the first Serabites store opened its doors.

From a home kitchen to a shop with its own brand identity, this was a huge achievement. This store wasn’t just a place to sell cheesetarts. It was proof that small dreams can become reality with effort and determination.

To open 1,000 kiosks in malls and supermarkets across Malaysia.
